I just wanted to share an extraordinary life story I just read. When we think of bravery in terms of cancer, we picture the sickly cancer patient wasting away from chemotherapy treatments, but remember that they are surrounded and supported by friends, family, and teams of medical professionals. Saras bravery is the courage to stand alone with her own choices, and to trust her own judgement as to what is right for her body. I don’t know if I would have such strength and conviction if I were in her place.
